This is a beginning course in robotics. We will be utilizing Arduino development board, Arduino IDE and wireless and wired Robotics materials. The objective of this course is to introduce the student to basic programming as well as problem solving strategies.Major objectives of this course is that Students will learn, understand and know the following : -

1. What is Robotics and Basic Electronics Component.

2. How to design robots for specific activities and scenarios.

3. How to use arduino ide and arduinoprogramming software.

4. Gears, pulleys, torque, friction, timing, sensors, and program loops.

5. To design, develop and complete robotic activities and challenges.

This is a beginning course in robotics. We will be utilizing Arduino development board, Arduino IDE and wireless and wired Robotics materials. The objective of this course is to introduce the student to basic programming as well as problem solving strategies. This course will involve students in the development, building and programming of Autonomous(AI) robots. Students will work hands-on in teams to design, build, program and document their progress. Topics may include motor control, gear ratios, torque, friction, sensors, timing, program loops, logic gates, decision-making, timing sequences, propulsion systems and binary number systems. Student designed robots will be programmed to compete in various courses as developed by Sofcon India Pvt.Ltd.

Introduction to Basic Electronics:

  • To familiarize the electronic components

  • Basic Principle of Voltage and current
  • What is Voltage Regulator
  • To familiarize with Motors, Servo,LEDs

Introduction to Robotics:

  • What is Robots and its working
  • How Robots work

Computer Software

  • To familiarize with Robotics Software(Arduino ide)
  • How can do programming in C
  • What are the Basic Syntax and Drivers
  • Designing Algorithm of Robots

Introduction and Hands-on Practical’s on Robotics Kits and Hardware:

  • Designing and developing Wired and Wireless Robot.
  • Concepts and developing of Line Follower Robot
  • Introduction and Interfacing of Different Sensors and Motors.

Robots Development and Competition

  • Mobile Operated Robot
  • Line Follower Robot

  • Obstacle Avoider Robot

After completing training Students will be able take a part in Robotics Competition and Design Own robot what they learn, Winners of Competition will get exciting Prize Certificate from NSDC and many more.

Student /Teacher Expectations

This course is designed for the beginning to intermediate level computer user who has some experience using the computer. Students will work in-groups and teams to complete various course assignments and projects (challenges). Students will be expected to self-motivated and stay on task with all lectures, web based instruction and activities.

Student Data Storage

Each student will be given disks and space on the school server to store their robotic programs and activities. Students are responsible for backing up all of their work and maintaining their data.

Computer Hardware and Software

All students will be expected to take care of and respect all school computer hardware and software while in their use. Students will have access to computers, arduino ide and Arduino development board. We need at least dual core processor computer and Projector.

Robotics Kits

Each Robotics kit will be inventoried by each groupbefore and after each lecture. Student are responsible for all of the robotics Kit, parts, batteries and any other materials that are needed to complete your kit.
